Ingredients

For the French Toast
  • 4 slices thick bread (like brioche or challah)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • Butter or oil (for cooking)
  • Whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the almond milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the batter, making sure to coat both sides well without over-soaking.
Cooking
  1. Add butter or oil to the hot skillet to grease the surface.
  2. Place the soaked bread in the pan, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  3. In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle chocolate chips and mini marshmallows on top of the toast to melt slightly.
Serving
  1. Remove the French toast from the skillet and sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over the top.
  2. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream and optionally pair with fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
