  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Or tamari for a gluten-free alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch mixed with 2 tablespoons water For thickening.

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken pieces, searing them for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Incorporate the minced garlic and bell pepper, stirring often for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and mix everything together.
  5. Pour in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil, stirring well to coat everything evenly.
  6. If desired, add the corn starch mixture and cook for another minute until the sauce thickens.
  7. Finally, sprinkle in the roasted cashews and toss gently to combine.
