  • 1 cup milk (or non-dairy milk, like almond or oat milk) Choose your desired type of milk.
  • 1 ripe banana mashed Ensure it's perfectly ripe for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter Smooth or crunchy according to preference.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional, adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
Optional Toppings
  • as desired sliced banana For garnishing.
  • as desired chopped nuts For added texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats and milk, stirring gently until the oats are soaked evenly.
  2. Add the mashed banana to the oat mixture and stir until well combined.
  3. Mix in the peanut butter, adjusting to preference for blending or swirls.
  4. If using, drizzle honey or maple syrup, then add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth.
  5. Divide the mixture into jars or airtight containers. Optionally, layer with banana slices or nuts.
  6. Seal jars and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
Serving
  1. Before serving, give the oats a quick stir and add any desired toppings.
