  • 1 box box of chocolate cake mix You can use any brand.
  • 3 large eggs As required on the box.
  • 1/2 cup oil As required on the box.
  • 1 cup water As required on the box.
For the Topping
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped Optional: can be replaced with crushed pretzels.
  • 1 tub whipped topping Or homemade whipped cream.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the instructions on the box, which typically involves mixing eggs, oil, and water with the dry mix.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Soaking and Topping
  1. Poke holes all over the warm cake about an inch apart using a wooden spoon or fork.
  2. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake so it soaks into the holes.
  3. Drizzle chocolate syrup and caramel sauce on top.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top and let the cake cool completely.
  5. Spread the whipped topping evenly across the cooled cake.
  6. Optional: Decorate with extra caramel and chocolate drizzle.
