Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup protein powder (your choice of flavor) Choose a flavor you enjoy.
  • 1/2 cup almond butter (or any nut butter) Feel free to use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional) Can be left out for a less sweet bar.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Add your favorite nuts.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if you prefer a baked version; you can also opt to simply refrigerate them.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and protein powder. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Add the almond butter, honey, mini chocolate chips, and vanilla extract to the dry mix and stir until combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased or lined baking dish and press down firmly to create an even layer.
  6. If you're opting for the no-bake version, shape the mixture into bars and refrigerate until firm.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, watching for a lightly golden color.
  2. After removing from the oven, let cool completely before cutting into bars.
