  • 4 fillets salmon fillets (skin-on for extra flavor)
  • 3 tablespoons yellow chili sauce (store-bought or homemade) Can be swapped with green chili sauce or mild salsa.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated (optional but recommended)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish For garnish.
  • Lemon wedges, for serving For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow chili sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk until nicely blended.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the salmon fillets skin-side down, spacing them apart.
  5. Drizzle or brush the chili mixture generously over each salmon fillet.
Cooking
  1. Slide the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Rest the salmon for a couple of minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes
